Does COROS connect to Strava?

Yes, officiallyBoth directions

Yes. COROS has an official Strava link in the COROS app, and once it's on, every new activity from your watch or DURA bike computer uploads to Strava automatically. Starred Strava routes and segments come back the other way, into your COROS route library and as Strava Live Segments on supported devices.

What it costs

Neither company lists a charge for the link itself. Strava Live Segments need a Strava subscription, and so does building a route in Strava.

How to set it up

  1. Open the COROS app and go to the Profile page, then Settings, then 3rd Party Apps, then Data Sync.
  2. Select Strava and log in with your Strava account to authorize the link.
  3. Optional: tick Strava Notes Sync to add COROS stats such as Training Load to each activity's notes on Strava.
  4. For segments: in the COROS app, go to Profile, select your device, then Strava Live Segments. On the watch, pick a Run, Trail Run or outdoor bike mode and choose Strava Segments before pressing Start.

What reaches Strava

  • Every activity recorded on your COROS device after the link is made, automatically, usually within a few minutes
  • Optionally, COROS stats in the activity notes: Training Load, plus climb details, POD 2 temperature and running test results where they apply
  • Heart rate and running power, unless you switch them off in the COROS app

What comes back from Strava

  • Starred routes, into the COROS Route Library (cycling, running and walking), ready to sync to your watch
  • Up to 30 starred segments, as Strava Live Segments

Limitations and gotchas

  • No history backfill. Only activities recorded after you connect are sent. If the link breaks and you reconnect, anything recorded in between has to be uploaded to Strava by hand (export a .FIT file from COROS and upload it at strava.com/upload).
  • Route changes don't follow. COROS does not update a route you edit, star or unstar in Strava later; delete it in COROS, then use Duplicate in Strava to send the updated copy. Strava also says a COROS device holds up to 10 routes at a time.
  • Live Segments are listed for the PACE 3, PACE 4, PACE 4 Pro, PACE Pro, APEX 2 and 2 Pro, VERTIX 2 and 2S, and the DURA. The APEX 4 and NOMAD are not on COROS's list yet.
  • Live Segments work in Run, Trail Run and outdoor bike modes (not e-bike), one segment at a time, never at the same time as navigation, and downhill segments are left out. The times on the watch are preliminary; Strava's after upload are final.
  • Switching heart rate or running power off affects every linked app, not only Strava.
  • Distance, pace and time can differ between the two apps, because Strava runs its own calculations. Indoor run calibration on COROS does not carry over, so fix treadmill distance on Strava by hand.
  • If syncing stops, COROS says to disconnect, force close the app, clear your browser's cookies (it recommends Chrome), reconnect with any VPN off, and check you're signing in to the right Strava account.
  • Whether editing or deleting an activity on one side changes the other is not documented by either company. Nor is sending Strava workouts or training plans to COROS.
  • Past Strava activities can go the other way only as a one-off file import through the COROS Training Hub, not through the link.
