Privacy
This site has no accounts and never connects to your Strava account. It collects three things: anonymous analytics, what you type into the submit form, and your email address if you sign up for the newsletter. Here is each one, who handles it, and how to have it removed.

Who is responsible
Apps for Strava (appsforstrava.com) is the controller of the data described here. Questions and requests go to appsforstrava@agentmail.to. Apps for Strava is not part of Strava, Inc., and nothing on this page covers your Strava account; for that, see Strava's privacy policy.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages are viewed, the site you came from, your device and browser type, and your approximate location at country or city level. It also records a few actions on the site: clicking through to an app's website, searching the directory (the search words, trimmed, with no link to who typed them), and applying a filter. None of this includes your name or email. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from the next.
The reason is to see which pages help people and which apps they go on to try. Google processes the data on our behalf. You can block it with any content blocker or with Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works the same without it.
Links to an app's website carry ?ref=appsforstrava.com, which tells the maker the visit came from here. It carries nothing about you.
The submit form
The submit form is run by Tally. What you enter (the app, links, any name and email you choose to give) is stored by Tally and read by us to write or fix a listing, and to reply if you asked us to. Submissions are kept while the listing they relate to is live, or deleted on request.
The newsletter
If you sign up, your email address is stored by Tally, the form service, and copied to a private list we keep. Issues go out once a month from appsforstrava@agentmail.to through AgentMail, the service that runs that inbox. We use the address only to send the newsletter, and we don't sell or share the list.
People who send us an app through the submit form also get the newsletter, since it covers new listings and changes to them; the first issue they receive says so. To stop it, reply “unsubscribe” to any issue, or email us, and you won't get another one. We keep a note of the address only so it isn't added back.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time. Write to appsforstrava@agentmail.to. If you are in the UK or the EU and think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that affects newsletter subscribers will be mentioned in the next issue.
