What is pimp.bike?
pimp.bike is a web app for keeping track of mountain bike service. The pitch is speed of logging: you type what you did in plain words, something like "new chain, bled front brake, checked rear derailleur", and it sorts out which parts, what happened to each and when. From there it tracks wear on every component and shows what's due across all your bikes.
Strava is optional. Connect it and your bikes come in from your Strava gear, and each ride's hours and distance feed the wear clocks without you logging the ride. Skip it and manual logging works the same.
Key Features
Plain-language logging
No dropdowns or spec sheets. Type what you did and it figures out the parts, dates and measurements.
Wear from service intervals
Wear is worked out from real service intervals and your ride data, and the intervals are brand-specific (SRAM, Shimano, Fox and RockShox are named; a Fox 36 and a RockShox Pike don't get the same schedule). Parts from brands it doesn't know fall back to generic intervals.
One dashboard for every bike
A single view groups what's due or coming up by bike, and each bike gets its own list of rides.
Service history and guides
Every service is kept as a permanent log entry, which the maker suggests is handy when you sell the bike. A guide library links manufacturer service manuals, procedures and videos for forks, shocks, brakes, drivetrain parts, gearboxes and motors, and you can browse it without an account. Riders can suggest missing parts or guides, which are reviewed before they go live.
Who It's For
- Mountain bikers with suspension and hydraulic brakes on a service schedule
- Riders with several bikes, since there's no bike limit
- Anyone who gives up on maintenance logs because entering the data is a chore
Worth Knowing
Everything is free while it's being built, with no bike limit and no card needed. The site says that if paid features ever arrive, existing accounts keep what they have.
The terms say connecting Strava asks for read access to all your activities, private ones included, plus your profile for your gear. It reads each ride's distance and moving time to update the bike's totals, and per the privacy policy it doesn't store routes, GPS coordinates or maps, and doesn't use Strava data to train AI. Disconnecting Strava deletes the tokens and imported rides but keeps each bike's totals and your service history.
The privacy policy says the service is intended for riders in the United States and Canada, and the terms are governed by British Columbia law. Each account also gets a personal API token for programmatic access to your own data. Per the privacy policy, an AI reads each service note, and the note, your bike's parts and how the note was read go to its error-monitoring provider so it can check the reading.
The terms describe wear figures as estimates, not safety certifications, and say to inspect your bike yourself.
Does pimp.bike work without Strava?
Yes. Manual service logging works on its own; Strava only adds ride hours and distance to the wear clocks automatically.
Is there a phone app?
Not that we found. As of October 2026 it's a web app, and we found no App Store or Google Play listing.
