What is INTVL?
INTVL turns runs, walks and rides into a territory game on a real map. Run or ride a loop and the area inside it gets claimed in your colour; other players can take it from you, and you can take it back. Runs and rides are scored on separate maps, so runners only fight runners. Taking someone's ground starts a head-to-head battle, and the territory you hold earns entries into competitions with real prizes; the more you hold when one ends, the better your odds.
It's made by INTVL Pty Ltd in Australia. The site claims 2.4 million competitors in 182 countries. On the US App Store it holds a 4.7 from about 5,300 ratings, the iPhone app was last updated on September 27, 2026 (version 4.0.9), and Google Play shows more than a million downloads with an update on September 23, 2026.

Close a loop and everything inside it is yours, block by block, or all at once. Leaderboards run from your local area up to the whole world.
Clubs and private lobbies
Play solo on the world map, set up a private lobby with friends, or claim ground for a club, where your territory adds to the club's total.
Record on the phone or leave it at home
Record in the app, or sync from Apple Watch, Garmin, COROS, Polar, Suunto or Fitbit watches and Hammerhead or Wahoo bike computers. There's a social feed, and splits, distance, elevation and trends to track your progress.
Does INTVL sync with Strava?
One way. Connect Strava once and your INTVL activities can be sent to Strava. INTVL's own FAQ says Strava doesn't allow syncing from Strava into INTVL, so a ride recorded on a Garmin reaches the game through INTVL's Garmin connection, not through Strava.
How much is INTVL Pro?
The game is free. INTVL Pro is an optional subscription that adds the full route planner, complete leaderboards and a 10x boost on competition entries. The site doesn't publish a price. The US App Store lists in-app purchases from $7.99 to $79.99, and the only one it names is an annual subscription at $79.99.
